Medical students – winners of state-funded merit scholarships

Five students of Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova will receive merit scholarships from the state for their academic performance in the a.y. 2021-2022. The list of students and pupils benefiting from merit scholarships financed from the state budget was approved at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on October 20, 2021.
Thus, the Republic’s Scholarship in the amount of 1640 lei will be awarded to Sandu Tocarciuc, a fourth-year student, Faculty of Medicine No. 1.
Cătălina Gutul, fifth-year student, Andreea Rotaru, fifth-year student, and Irina Ruiceva, sixth-year student, Faculty of Medicine No. 1, will be granted the Government Scholarship in the amount of 1365 lei.
Iana Coropceanu, a fifth-year student, Faculty of Medicine No. 1, will receive the Republic of Moldova President Scholarship in the amount of 1490 lei.
The Republic’s Scholarship will be offered monthly to 12 young people, the Government Scholarship – to 30, the President's Scholarship – to 15 and Gaudeamus Scholarship to 20 students.
For merit scholarships have applied students and pupils who obtained a grade point average greater than 9 (in technical, agricultural, economic, medical, military, law and sciences fields of study) and greater than 9.5 (in humanities field of study) at the summer examination session of the previous academic year.
It should be mentioned that 27 files have been submitted for the Republic Scholarship, 46 for the Government Scholarship, 20 for Gaudeamus Scholarship and 23 for the President’s Scholarship.
